Community Chest donates books to the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Management     Head of Department, Prof Chux Iwu accepts donation on behalf of the Department     The necessity for entrepreneurship education in a growing economy such as South Africa cannot be underestimated. The department prides itself in producing graduates who are bold to take on complex business ideas and problems for society's good. In recognition of this important goal of the department, Community Chest, a foremost nonprofit organisation based in Cape Town donated an excellent collection of management textbooks to the department.   Entrepreneurship academic stars rewarded ACHIEVEMENT: Lecturer Cecily Cridland and Prof Robertson Tengeh, Head of Entrepreneurship and Business Management, congratulate a student for excelling in first-year studies. The  Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Management  recently hosted an awards ceremony to acknowledge students who excelled in their first-year studies in 2018. The top 10 students in the mainstream programme were: Nzengo Lutumba (76%), Karl Abrahams (73%), Nolitha Gcado (70%), Qhamani Vena (70%), Nosiphiwo Gabuza (69%), Zandile Mbane (69%), Unathi Mpande (69%), Sibabalo Mdingi (68%), Mputhumi Nikelo (68%) and Sulaiman Roberts (68%). In the Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) the following students came up in the top five: Karabo Namanyane (65%), Lelethu Nobete (64%), Mava Nomnga (64%), Noluvo Mpatha (62%) and Sisipho Tsheke (62%).
